Program and Certification
NCCER’s Standardized and Accredited Training Programs
The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) developed all GREAT training programs to provide trainees with the skills necessary to succeed in construction as a reliable member of the workforce.
NCCER designed its certification programs in cooperation with top construction firms, ensuring all certified instructors go through extensive training and testing.
Accreditation
The quality and standardization of NCCER's Contren® Learning Series and Skills Assessments is maintained through a formal accreditation process. Participants receive quality training based on uniform standards and criteria, consistent with the standards presented in the NCCER Accreditation Guidelines.
Instructor Certification Training Process
As part of its accreditation process, NCCER has developed the Instructor Certification Program (ICTP), ensuring the delivery of quality training. Through this process, NCCER certifies the Master Trainer, and the Master Trainer certifies the local Craft/Technician Instructor. The resulting network of certified instructors assures that NCCER training programs will meet the high standards set by the industry.
National Registry
The National Registry maintains all trainees records who have successfully completed any NCCER standardized program conducted by an NCCER accredited organization. It records training completions, assessment and performance results and issues appropriate credentials (transcripts, certificates and wallet cards), ensuring that the accomplishments of every trainee will be recognized wherever they go.
